Source for cheap pure nickel singles?

I'm a big fan of EB's beefy slinkies, but would like to try some pure nickel strings in the same gauge. EB don't make pure nickel Beefy sets, and I can't find affordable nickel singles for the 11 and 15 gauges on Thomann/Strings Direct/eBay/Amazon. 

How come I can find a plain 22 in pure nickel but not an 11?

I think D'addario have an 11-48 pure nickel set.

Yeah, I want 11, 15, 22p, 30w, 42, 54 not the normal 11-48. I can't do my surfy tremolo picking on a 48 bottom E.

Currently 85p each though...

If they're steel, they're not nickel, are they?!

For Pure Nickel sets the plain strings are still steel.

Yeah, as @olafgarten says my understanding is, in a set of "nickels" only the bass strings have a nickel outer; the unwrapped treble strings are plain steel.  But someone slap me if I'm wrong

I've seen a few sets like that, where the bottom E is a disproportionately heavier than the A. Ernie Ball have got it pretty bang-on with the Beefy Slinkies, for me at least. I guess the 22 G is a bit much, it could do with being a 20.

I'm not sure, but I do know that nickel alone isn't strong enough to be a string.
