Anyone using Tusq string trees on a Strat? Any good?

I fitted a few when they were first fashionable. They don't work as well as a carefully set plain Fender butterfly one, especially if you put a tiny bit of grease under it.

It's well-known engineering practice that the lowest friction is achieved with a hard bearing surface, not a soft one.

Fair point, thanks ICBM. I see they only do them in black, too. The wrong look on a Strat, for me.

They do them in white too. I have one on a Strat. It solved some tuning stability issues I had when using the tremolo.
