I'm thinking of putting up my nice clean 89 burton tele on classifieds soon with view to trading. Top of my list would be a customshop ri tele. Does this sound like a fair ask?

When I were a wee lad it was Squire-Japan-Standard-Artist-Vintage. And then the Custom Shop started churning stuff out. Simpler times. Guess it depends on how desperate cowboys are to get it? Your best bet is to find sold examples and compare the price to the going rate of sold CS's. Having said that... I think you'd be faster just selling it on eBay and seeing what ya need to cover the difference.

Yes,I checked ebay and there is one up at 2200 stg.another on Gumtree with a standard finish for same money.seems bit deluded to me tbh.but seeing cs reissues up here for as little as 1500 has me thinking this way.
