my 1936 rickenbaker....the guitar version not lapsteel made of bakerlite one of the 1st production electric guitars sounds fantastic for slide! ry cooder uses one also!  link here to ry uses his on vigalante man

    Wow! I'm either very wrong, or that's an incredible bargain. I thought they were worth a *lot* more than that.

    For most practical purposes these are the very first proper solid electric guitar.

    Sounds like a great bargain. It must be one of the very first Rickenbacker horseshoe pickups,  I'm sure a museum would love to have it. Is it all bakelite, neck and body?

    That is a crazy price.  Don't do the naughty thing and part it out.... even though you would get more than that for the pickup alone

    Fantastic find!

    Was wondering how much it would be worth to you for a bit of ry cooder but blummin hell; what a bargain.

    Edit: someone was asking 1200 for one on here. Sounds about right.
