Pretty unique, if lacking in the prettiness.
Imagine something sharp and witty here ......

    For £5500 I'm out.

  • What a bag of shit lol, they're doodles and not very good ones, done purely to get maximum cash for a generic ibanez.
Thats not art it's pure cash generation.

1   I'm not that keen on them
2   I could do it myself
3   a JS with 24 frets looks wrong

But, it's cool that he's doing them himself!

  • As a fan of the JS I quite like these - However I don't £5500 like them.
Surely it's cheaper to buy a standard JS, a meet and greet package and a sharpie and get the man himself to do a quick doodle for you there and then isn't it?
All the right notes, not always in the right order!

He's been doing this style of doodling stuff for ages so it's not a new thing. Of course it is to make money, that's what all product tie ins are for.

Fair play if he sells them, he's probably got the fan base to do so. Album sales are massively down so people look at other income streams - his past 3 albums have only sold around 10,000 units in the US. Go back 4 or more and those figures were mostly 100,000+

His "Black Dog" one was awesome....I loved that guitar so much in the early 90s.

  • I have one of the Black Dogs and love it. A great playing guitar and along with the Chromeboy, is the one I associate most strongly with him.

£5500 is a lot for those ART series, but I can understand that there are those out there fancying one. A bit like the JEM DNA but not so personal....!!

Wow. imagine how he felt going from 100,000 down to just 10,000. It's no wonder so many bands give up or try and sell anything they can

I'd have no. 72, the multicolour squiggled guitar, in a heartbeat.

The Black Dog replica is very cool looking!

Were they not in the £5k region when new? Maybe higher, as they were Sugi made guitars IIRC?

This actually looks decent though, the new ones look like they were drawn by a 10 year old.

I got mine second hand so didn't pay anywhere close to that. Didn't get the certificate etc as I think they just came with the US releases and mine was from Asia. But yes, they are Sugi made and do feel a little different to the other JS models that I have and have had.

If JS has kids they may well have been.
