    That was good.

    Knowing some of those songs, what he said made a lot of sense.  I played for a production of We Will Rock You at my daughters' school.  Thankfully I was mainly rhythm plus some harmony parts - not all the tricky leads.  I'm going to forward the link to the guy who played lead - especially the bit about changing the arrangement of Seven Seas of Rhye.  He dreaded that bit.

    I can't imagine the volume that 3 cranked AC30s would put out. He's been doing it for 45+ years so he must have extraordinarily robust ears if his hearing hasn't been affected!

    Also big spaces. It's to do with sound pressure as much as volume. A drum kit in a tiny rehearsal room will fuck your ears far quicker than in an auditorium, even stood next to it. Toilet venues are just as bad. Speaking from experience
