Open G is the best chord to check tuning with, though, nowhere for those out-of-tune strings to hide with that one.

Open Emaj and a full four-finger open Gmaj, none of the janky near-nut notes can hide between those.

I got a tele, I tune up in January with new strings, that's it for the year then!

It used  to be 'More Than A Feeling' by Boston... but nowadays tend to be 'Life Before Insanity' by Govt Mule. 

Gets the B and G strings quickly in order.
