Lossiemouth is really nice too. My mum lives in Elgin so I'm up there quite a bit. Hopeman is very nice too.

Battered haggis is where it's at @normula1.
We're considering moving to Nairn which is not somewhere I would have thought to move to but it's a good compromise location-wise for us both and it's got a great beach.

haha, I was introduced to that particular delight a few years later in Girvan whilst on holiday in Ayrshire.

We're also considering Nairn/Forres, or as far the other way as Cullen. Lossie is also a possibility.

Er, nope! Occasional rising of water table under the house after heavy rain but nothing causing a problem I'm relieved to say.
You've given yourself a lot of choices Martin, and they all have merits.

Dammit - there I was planning a custom super champ variation amongst other things for my next visit to Derbyshire.  The Burman GX3 you fixed for me is still going strong although the volume dies intermittently for some reason.  Best of luck with the new venture Martin.
