Humbucker covers, on or off? (Would be cream bobbins in a honeyburst Les Paul)
Tomorrow will be a good day.

The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

On. Cream bobbins in a sunburst Standard looks terrible, like 70s DiMarzios. (Which are good-sounding pickups, but look awful.)

I'd say on is best with a Honeyburst guitar. And on with cream bobbins. So with both of those in play... definitely, 100% on.

    On, especially with double creams!
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

  • I like them on for my sunburst Les Paul.

But I like that they're off for my PRS S2 and also off for the bridge humbucker on my Strat.

    It's not a competition.
