Heard a convent girls school choir singing on the streets of Dublin today. About 40 girls, a few older people collecting money and a single male guitar player. Gripping stuff, I had to stand and watch. I could hardly believe what I was hearing. The group sang Jingle Bells. The guitar played it in the key of C. The girls sang it at least 3 steps higher (Eb) and to compound matters, the singers and guitar we're completely out of step. As I said, gripping stuff. I just don't know how they did it.
