Les Paul Binding Glue?

What's Hot
Dug my LP out of the case last night and the body binding fell off. Assume the glue has dried up. What's the best type of glue to stick it back on with?

Superglue or weld on plastic cement.  Both are potentially messy at this stage though.

No, not all of it, about 1/3 from strap button round the top to the bridge pickup.

Wez got there first - but be careful as potentially messy

Well, it's been looked away in a case in a cellar for 5 years...

I'd warm it up first with a hairdrier, just in case it's shrunk a little

I'm pretty sure it has shrunk. So I will try that.

I use a piece of thick dowel, broom handle size to roll the warm binding, be gentle as I've had some binding split.

    This.
Although I'd be even more keen, if the whole lot had come off in one piece..
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

Uhu Hart works well for sticking binding

I also use melted binding in acetone but that gets messy

So, found some superglue suitable for ABS plastic and job done. Something is up though as the binding is now smaller than the route, so a little recessed. I don't remember it being like that.

anyhow - spent a happy hour shredding away. forgot how nice the neck was on this. just plays so easily.

as a bonus, the glue also fixed the broken key retainers on the arturia I bought that shipped broken

what a nice evening! Thanks for the tips all.
