I had a CU22 virtually the same as one above. That's it in my avatar. Loved it for sound/playability but sold it cause it had to go. As you say'but the colour' too much for me ha.

I actually like the colour & would have no problem with it at all.
I started out with nothing..... but I've still got most of it left (Seasick Steve)

I upgraded from a CE24 mahogany which was my first PRS....which was also orange!

I preferred the sound and feel of the CE24 mahogany more and is one guitar I wish I still owned:

I don't own this, but knowing its owner well I may one day…

I did the work on it for him to fit the bridge pickup and switch, they normally only have the neck one which is rather odd-sounding.

  • I would like to own this.

I don't normally go for natural finishes and am choosy about SG's, but I love the orangey hue to these 2013 models.

    Here's mine:

The extra holes are because it's a bit of a test bed for stuff.

I made the body from walnut and stained it with StewMac ColorTone orange stain followed by a few light coats of satin lacquer.

My 2008 (see avatar) had an orangey hue depending on the light, I love it. In daylight it's really orangey and gets more cherry red under light bulbs.

I'd love a capri orange strat!

Quite a few "not really orange" guitars on this thread. ;)

One guitar I'd like to own would be an International colours Strat in Capri Orange - gorgeous!

Thanks - the switch takes the tone control out of circuit - sounds a bit brighter and stronger without it.

That's very nice @TTBZ is it an SG Special or Standard or other? I'm only just getting used to the myriad of Gibson Models. I'd have one of these SG's in a heartbeat, all the photos and vids I've seen of them all look different in shade depending on light, but all gorgeous.

I do prefer the pickguard shape in the 2013 though.

It's a standard. Yeah I prefer the smaller pickguard as well but this is what I ended up with, it was the best feeling one in the shop and sounds really bright unplugged. Took me ages to find a good set of pickups that worked for it though, almost sold it at one point.
