Back into it, 5 miles at lunchtime. I don't seem to have made my foot any worse, as predicted walking is more difficult than running at the moment.

    353km + 8km = 361km

As of Monday I'm commuting a couple of hours each day in a temporary 6 month post so hoping it doesn't impede me too much.

  • 240.. +7 +10 +8 +8= 273k.

On target- Although my target is 1000k for the year I'm trying to keep to 100k per month to give myself some leeway for interruption  due to injury/laziness/terrible Scottish weather.
Should have kept my stupid mouth shut. Got caught in a leg lock at sparring, cue sore Achilles... that limited me to 7k last week.

    280k.
Feels ok now, so an easy 5k for the next few days will hopefully see me at 300 before 1st April.

    300k!
20k this week put me past the next milestone.
I'm surprised I've gotten this far.

I've got 25k planned for this weekend.

    115k for March.

Didn't hit my 3 x marathon distance target but had fun giving it a go. Notables were my 1st go at 10k, managed 4 so quite pleased. Not quick but happy getting that distance.

Looking to improve times and overall kms travelled this month but will see how it goes.

    Cheers
    Hugh

    169km + 8km = 177km. Inching towards 200km.
7km more today. Lovely run along the river with boat race preparations going on. I don't massively enjoy running, but I confess I do enjoy being out and about and it's a great excuse.

184km total so far. Should break 200km next week.

Got the 25k done. Putting me on 325k.
What a difference Spring makes! Today I ran in shorts & t-shirt and it was WARM! So nice after those hard, dark, wet winter miles.

Feeling slightly humbled by some of the numbers that others are putting in, but happy that I'll be well prepared to do a half marathon late summer. Just waiting for the last of the snow to go and temperatures to warm up a bit before I start on longer runs.

Excellent.  Weather has made a big different recently. Nice to get a run in after work and it still be light after.

    April 3rd: 416km + 5km = 421km

I'm finding it hard at the moment- probably still a bit down about Scarlett.
    I'm still running though.

I'm getting back into my 3 runs a week cycle now that the weather is picking up, but I'm also improving my pace. It's interesting looking over runs over the last couple of months - my pace has got back up to where I want to be although the improvements seem to be diminishing, but the big difference is my heart rate is coming down over the same distance, at the same pace (about 4.30-4.40 per km). I'd like to get a bit quicker though, any tips? I've always sworn by (and usually at) interval training, any pointers?

    2017 running total: 102 km.

I'm out for now. Did a 5k last night, performance dropped near the end, wheezing like a good un then I was coughing up a little bit of blood afterwards. I'll be honest, that scared me. Chest rattle kept me up all night but I wasn't struggling for air. It's completely clear now but obviously I've booked to see a doc as I have a problem. Just hoping it's nothing serious. Not told anyone about it yet until I've had a proper assessment.

Keep it going while I'm away lads.

Good grief! That doesn't sound nice. Hope you get better soon and that it's nothing serious.
