Do more gigs.    Write with other people and write more songs.   Give yourself a reason to force  the focus into the music - playing and performing rather than the equipment giving short term gratification and reason to play.

I personally just reached a point of saturation; I felt like I'd almost tried every option pedal wise, with MOST disappointing or not being that different from the last one I had.

The FX8 liberated me in some way; it may me realise that I didn't have to keep chasing and reaching.

In the end, I realised the 'sound in my head', and then sold off a load of gear. Literally thousands of pounds. It gave me the freedom then to buy the stuff I LOVED.

But right now, I have the FX8 into the Redplate/Rambler. Simple and brilliant.

Carve your own path Grae... many have, and some have even left the forum to escape the GAS affliction...
