Which interface to mike a guitar amp with two microphones?

    My advice, having not headed it myself, would be to start one mic at a time, and really learn how to get the best out of it by moving it around etc.

     Even with a humble 57 you can really get lots of sounds out of it with positioning. Once you know that, grab a ribbon and do the same.

  • In leiu of a 57 I'd recommend an audix I-5. I found it far more pleasing in sound without being significantly more expensive. The e609 also looks good but I don't have experience with it
