A recommendation for a little thing...

I was sent some Coarse picks to try the other day. Yes, I know they're only plectrums, but really liking them a lot, so thought I'd give any interested parties a heads up. They're along the lines of a Herdim, only shaped in a way that allows for either a smooth or a coarse playing edge. The latter is so good for raspy sounds - superb through reverb / octave nonsense, the likes of which im prone to. 

US based company, but there may be a U.K. stockist soon. Thoroughly recommend them.

Their issue so far has been postage costs, but as I say, there could be a solution soon. James at Home of Tone is in the chatting stage re viability of U.K. Stock. 

But anyway, I really like them. Would be very happy to pay the asking price for them.

Does the course side help stop them slipping from your hand? (the reason I've never really been able to get on with plectrums).

Genuinely no incentive. He sent me a free set as I suggested the hook up with home of Tone. I'd wanted to buy some anyway but was annoyed at the postage costs. 

My recommendation here is purely down to thinking the product is really good.

These look great. How do they compared with other known quantities in terms of flexibility? Are they similar to the equivalent Dunlop 0.88 (green ones I think?)

Well yes and no. It's shaped so that you're not having to use the nub end. And the texture is more coarse, for want of a better word. More Herdim as I say. Not reinventing the wheel, but they do what nothing else quite does.

Bah! I was hoping the opposite. If I could get those but with the flex of a yellow cortex I'd be a happy man.

I'm currently loving the Lollar plectrum I found in with my pickup. He makes them out of the fibre from the top of the bobbin I believe. Very grippy and free (with a Lollar pickup at least...)
