Vox Tonelab SE straight through PA and two guitars, one of either Strat or Tele, and one of either LP, SG or PRS Cu24.
I started out with nothing..... but I've still got most of it left (Seasick Steve)

Deeply uncool here I know but my amp is a tweaked Blues Junior with a Cannabis Rex speaker.

Pedal board - Fredric Buffer - MXR Analog Chorus - Lovepedal OD11 - Mad Prof. mellow yellow trem - MXR custom badass OD - MXR Carbon Copy - Boss TU-3

The above has served me very well for the past couple of years
This is the truth from hillbilly guitars!

Last few gigs was AX8 - Fryette Power Station - 1 x 12 Cab (Palmer Cab with a Celestion A Class).

Before that - Basically the same but a Helix with a ThorpyFX Peacekeeper and a Hudson Broadcast in the loops

Before that FX8 - Two Rock Studio Pro 35 Combo

This was done using a GH50L and no pedals.
That sounds great, mine doesn't really sound like that! Must be the speakers or maybe my crap playing.

Don't discount the double tracking and any EQ, compression etc added while tracking, at mixing or mastering. Comparing studio tones to being in a room with an amp is a mug's game.

Don't talk politics and don't throw stones. Your royal highnesses.

  • was either just guitar into an Engl head/cab, or a Blackstar HT5 with a Boss DS1. Now it's just an AX8 straight to PA and/or a small FRFR cab, but keeping the Blackstar as backup. Engl is far too heavy !

  • This has been my main rig for the past couple of years.
    AxeFX2XL, MFC101 and 2 mission expression pedals.
I have different patches for acoustic guitar, jazz box and electric.
Occasionally just gig with a Roland Cube 80XL depending on the type of show.
