It does look like something that would appeal to a child. =)
A Deuce , a Tele and a cup of tea.

My 8-yr old boy has a cheap strat copy and has no problem with it. Saying that, he usually grabs my fat-necked Guild dreadnought because it's in the lounge and has no problem with that either, incredibly.

Having said that, the Squire Mustang is a great shout - shorter scale length and smaller body has got to help.

    Dean baby Z :-)
If you want the poor kid to be put off guitar for life and play bass instead.

Come to think of it, that's not a bad idea ;)

Yeah, did you think I was joking?
I would never dream about jokes being made with that type of guitar. If a jobs worth doing etc etc

My 10 yr old son had a Vintage VS6 SG copy to practice on but he found my Tele partscaster easier to play. The SG neck is quite a "long way to the left" for short arms. He started age 8 on a 3/4 classical (same one I did actually) and now has no problem with my full scale guitars. Palm muting is another thing though...
Shot through the heart, and you’re to blame, you give love a bad name. Not to mention archery tuition.

Simliar to a Mustang, Jaguar's are a 24" scale. i picked my 'modern player' up for £200.

Jaguars are quite big body wise though. A heavily chambered LP or SG would be ideal.
