Just set up my Mobius to work in the loop of the timeline, so I can add modulations ONLY to the repeat trails.

WOW!!!

It's utterly an amazing feature. Highly recommended.

That's the whole pre/post banter isn't it on there?

I use so many of the ring mod and bit crushed sounds to utterly destroy my tone I'd need thwm in front still.

  • These Strymon threads are going to get expensive.  That sounds very exciting.

It truly is. The clarity is immense- it's so wonderful- another setting althogther. Very very good on the Univibe. It gets rid of the initial mush of the first notes or chord.

  • I currently use a mobius into a timeline. Is there a way to use it so you can choose whether the mobius is in the timeline's loop or whether it just goes from the mobius' output into the timeline without plugging/unplugging patch cables?

How would the cabling go for this? I know the mobius has a loop for drive pedals so can decide whether you want each mod post or pre dirt and the timeline has a loop for putting anything in to effect the repeats only. Can you use these together somehow?

Yeah put the mobe in the TL loop then use pre/posr settings to position the tl- on tralis, root note or all

Could explain a bit more clearly please. I'm a bit slow to get it! I currently have the signal going from the mobius into the timeline. To put the mobius into the timeline's loop wouldn't I need to disconnect the in and out patch cables on the mobius that i'm currently using?

Do you adjust the pre/post etc settings on the timeline or the mobius.

Explain it as if to a technophobe grandad!

  • Oh hang on. Did you mean to position the Mobius? that would make sense. If you position the mobius in the timelines loop and select root note would that put it (the mobius) prior to the timeline in the chain?

Would you still be able to use the mobius without a timeline patch selected? ie If I wanted vibe or phaser but with no delay?

  • Use a pitch shift or whammy pedal in the loop. You'll love it!

TThat's the only thing I'd like on the nova repeater is a loop. It's a great sounding delay, but a loop would be amazing. I guess if it had that it would eat sales for the nova delay.

Catching up- you set the pre or post on the Mobius.

Ooops- posted this on wrong thread- this is how you do it:

For those who have asked how to do the loop trick...
Guitar to left in of the mobious.
Left Out of Mobious to Left In of Timeline
Left Out of Timeline to amp
Right out of Timeline to Right in of Mobious
Right out of mobious to Right in of Timeline

*make sure both swtiched on the back are set to Loop on timeline and Pre/Post on Mobious*

An alternative if using two amps would be:

Guitar to left in of the mobious.
Left Out of Mobious to Left In of Timeline
Left Out of Timeline to amp 1
Right out of Timeline to Right in on Mobious
Right out to Mobious to amp 2

set mobious switch to Pre/Post and leave the timeline as Stereo in/out.

Any presents set as Pre on the mobious will hit the input of the delay.
Anything set as Post will only hit the second amp for a faux wet/dry rig.
