TC Nova Delay advice

I have just bought a used Nova Delay - love it so far. However I'm struggling with one feature, which I may be getting wrong, or it's maybe not working as it should.

When in manual mode you should be able to tap the "tap tempo" switch then the "on/off" switch to cycle through presets. However, when I do that, the presets come up but with different values to the ones I saved. e.g. I have saved Preset 1 to quarter notes, to have 388ms, low feedback and low mix volume. But when I'm in manual mode and go to preset 1 those values don't recall.

Am I doing something wrong?

You can set each preset to recall a stored tap tempo, or to use the global tap tempo.  Can't remember how but it's in the manual somewhere.

From the manual page 15 (which you can download as a pdf)

To switch between using the stored delay time or the

global tempo when entering preset mode:

• Go to preset mode by pressing PRESET.

• Press and hold “TYPE” for 1 second.

- Steady PRESET key LED indicates that you are

using the global tempo.

- Flashing PRESET key LED indicates that you are

using the stored delay time.
