The Fretboard Guitarist Collective is an opportunity for you to participate is a monthly musical task that involves dusting off your favourite guitar and recording something on your PC or Mac which you can then share with the forum. The aim is to have fun, give your guitar practice and production skills a focus and most importantly have some fun.
This is open to everyone from a beginner to the seasoned pro and the middle-aged duffer like me. It’s not a competition – there are no prizes. The only rule is to be constructive when commenting on someone’s playing – leave the nasty comments to Simon Cowell and his ilk.
If you’re new to this sort of thing feel free to ask for help on setting up a small recording studio on a shoestring, though to production techniques, playing tips, theory and beyond. And don’t be shy ..
I’ll set the first task after which we will seek volunteers. Remember the aim is to have fun .. Suggestions always welcome and contributions are actively sought.

Do you mean posting jam tracks then posting our takes? (quick and loads of fun) or complete compositions? (not so quick but even more fun). As long as we're all "gentle with each other" it'll be brilliant. I'm in.
Good idea - I miss the old collective site.
I might create a separate backing tracks section to let people jam over some professional [not midi] copyright free blues and rock tracks. Is this a good idea?

I just did mine entirely on the iPad. JamUp Pro with the in-built recorder.
