I've only ever owned solid body guitars, and only ever with either humbuckers or normal single coils. I'm curious to try something that's got P90s. Also curious to try something hollow/semi-hollow.
Looking around I reckon I can get one of the modern player thinline teles for about £300, which is the maximum I'd be willing to spend on what is essentially a bit of an experiment to see whether I like it. Semi-hollow mahogany body with P90s, seems to tick all the boxes for my little experiment!
Any members owned one or played one? Any good?
I initially was taken by the idea of the Jim Adkins model with the seymour duncans, but they're out of my budget. Is the MP Thinline just a poor man's version of the same kinda thing?
Also, any other suggestions of something similarly cheap, hollow and with P90s?

I'd expect the Jim Adkins to be somewhat different due to the set neck and the 'Gibson' control layout.
N'owt to do with me btw.
Nothing wrong with that though, I've got a Squier Classic Vibe Tele and it's brilliant.
As well as the modern player the other thinline to look at would be the Squier Thinline Tele https://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/product/14072911204532--squier-vintage-modified-72-tele-thinline-mn-natural?gclid=CjwKCAiAr_TQBRB5EiwAC_QCq_dsXC1IoRc0lP5EkLDcCcHx58b_DBvHFKV5Oh1pH0TDiTQoHqh3fBoCBycQAvD_BwE
I think someone was selling one in the classifieds not long ago.
The other modern player is the "Telestrat" one, which I've always thought looks cool.
Only problem was I couldn't get the deal I wanted on it...
I'm actually heading into my local guitar shop tomorrow for something unrelated, but he has a Casino for sale in there. Might have a nosey while I'm there. Being a short arse I'm not sure I could get to grips with the large body style, I'd probably look ridiculous!
ive played thinlines all the way up the Fender range and if I was blindfolded I would never be able to tell you if it was a Thinline or not and seeing as they are only follow on one side they don’t have any resonance when unplugged either.
it might be a cheap fun mess around for home use but the last time I did that on something I just fancied it lasted a month before I sold it
Whether it would be all the guitar you want, is a totally personal thing.
On a separate occasion I have also tried the Jim Adkins and I much preferred it. It's quite different to the MP, the scale length is 24.75" and it's made from ash. It kinda felt like a cross between a LP and a Tele.
Of the two, I still occasionally keep my eye open for a JA, but not bothered about the MP at all
