Intro. Bm A
vs. Bm A F#m G
ch.D A G D C G D
it switches up a tone to C#m after the solo
Soibds good if you set a delay so the intro chords is one hit followed by an echo and then it just the standard barre chords played as arpeggios.
Wasn't aware it was gonna change key after the solo an then I expected the Chorus to have modulated a full step as well, but it didn't, it remained the same as pre solo chorus
I was gonna ask about how that works as with songs like Livin on a Prayer or Cuddly Toy, they go up and everything goes up. Marillion managed to go up for the verse, but keep the Chorus the same. I'm confused.
@fandango
This should get you in the right ball park
When you've done with that one, learn Slainte Mhath too, it's simpler and also a cracker of a track.
That trick of changing key twice without it being obvious is very clever - they often do similar cunning manoeuvres with the time signature and keep it flowing - only when you play a song or count it that it becomes clear. Brilliant musicians making a pop song catchy and interesting musically.
Plus I love playing that solo or any by Rothery when I get the chance - sadly rare though these days.
It is very clever indeed, the amount of songs I've learned and had that moment at the key change/changes.
Another one is the semi tone key change, it's very clever in this one and I never caught it ever listening by ear.

Along with The Walkmen.
And Bruce Springsteen.
And Frog Eyes.
Like I said, I don't have a favourite band.

Fill the gaps in with a delay pedal
So did she literally die of embarrassment or did she come to a natural end?
