So the official bootleg series finally reaches the New York sessions for Blood on the Tracks!
I've had a bootleg CD for ages of those sessions, and the official released tracks that have been on Biograph and some of the earlier Bootleg Series releases....but the idea of a 6 disc box with (supposedly) every take is pretty damn tempting.
Sadly I think I'll probably just end up with the single disc release, which I expect will just be a better sounding version of what I already have.

Regarding Blood on the Tracks the New York versions of ‘Idiot Wind’ are superior to the final version in my opinion, much more emotional and the cutting in both lyrics and delivery.
Looking at the full listing, the things I'm looking forward to the most are the tracks with the band before he kicked out everyone but the bass. Looks like he tried Simple Twist of Fate and You're Going to Make Me Lonesome.
It's a shame they couldn't find the tapes from Minnesota though.
