Now, about those Ibanez TS mini's. They look very nice!
I use it in two main ways:
- Low-medium gain into a clean fender deluxe model, for a crunchy edge of breakup tone.
- Medium gain into a crunchy Cornford model as a solo boost.
It works well in both applications, but has that hollow, slightly trebly tone that you can hear in a lot of the YouTube clips.
The Amplifire has it's own internal boosts - screamer, OD, distortion, clean boost and fuzz. Of those I've only really played with the screamer boost and it's pretty good.
External pedals work v well with it though. So I find myself considering other options too.
I've tried a couple of other Klones and they're pretty similar (for obvious reasons) - not different enough to warrant splashing the cash though.
A friend has a Tumnus - it will give you more bass and more space on your pedal board. The J Rockett Archer's drive is a bit smoother than the Soul Food - I liked it but not enough to swap.

Can't see how anyone is making money out that; I couldn't buy the parts at that price, and would charge more than the retail to fix it.
The Tumnus sounded nice but the buffer weirded out my other pedals.
Would like to try a Sugar drive with switchable buffer.
Been uploading old tracks I recorded ages ago and hopefully some new noodles here.
Who needs a Klone?
