Is this the end for my big board?.....

Tried the stripped deism approach tonight

Tuner - drive - delay

Fantastic, it was like going commando - so much more freedom instead of tap dancing a night. The punters don't give a fuck if message in a bottle has flange or whatever

Expect a pedalboard contents fire sale soon

You'll last about two weeks and buy it all back again.

Why don't you give it to me for safekeeping :)

However many things I put on my board I always end up using one drive pedal and occasionally a trem.

Last nights gig was the first time I only used the amps drive rather than whacking in a plethora of drive pedals. Felt liberating vaguely.. But you need a wah..

Oh yeah. The plan is (thus far)
Get diago Commuter board as they are the only small board that can take a wah - and go wah > tuner > (maybe) spark booster > Little green wonder > El Capistan.

If I can get away without the spark booster I will.

I'll need some sort of footswitch to change the channel on the supersonic too as I'll have to use the "burn" setting

All those years pontificating about fucking modulation etc........ Wasted

I've never had a big board - never wanted one, because I know I'd get confused at gig time (and we play small stages, so it'd be a PITA). Tuner -> phaser -> clean boost -> delay and an amp switch. Nothing else desired or required here :)

Yeah - and you'd end up selling it all anyway !!

The real pain is the £140 I just spent on a midi switcher for my Eventide - may as well write that of

Oh and @monquixote - what was that channel switching thing with those extra wires you gave me mate? What footswitch can I use to flick from vintage to burn?

I never used it myself, but I think you should be able to attach a pair of stereo footswitches to it (Boss ones etc). One of them will do the Vintage/Burn

That's what they tell you to your face, but imagine the whispers if you played 'Are you Gonna Go My Way' without the flanger.

Speaking of Flangers, I was falling asleep the other night listening to some mindless jamming we'd done the week before and when I heard my BF-2 kick in it actually woke me up it sounded that good.  My heartbeat doubled in rate, it sounded immense.

Modulation is definitely a less is more thing but not a nothing is more thing.  Nothing is bad.

I think I could get away without a delay but definitely not without modulation.

I didn't read all this thread @Travisthedog so I might off the mark but I might have a BF-2 for sale in a week or so.
It's just getting fixed, not sure what the issues is, was fine one minute but now there's no effect when it's engaged. Bypass/LED all fine. Good condition 'Black Label' BF-2 made in April 1981 according to the serial number. I'll let you know what transpires mate.
