I'm 6'5" and most straps are way too short.

I've found XLStraps.com who do a good range in various length options. Lovely leather and not expensive either

  • Heistercamp. Very well made and comfortable. Since they’re handmade, they can be customised if needed.

Mother Mary straps from James Home of Tone. Funky designs, comfortable and not too pricey.

Me too, I use them exclusively on all my electric guitars. You can switch straps very quickly and easily and they come in loads of cool colours. You'll never have a guitar fall off again!

I think I'm normal height too. Most other people are abnormally short. Anyone taller than 6'6" is freakishly tall.

Picked up a leathergraft strap recently and I'm really impressed. Not sure I can justify spending the prices of some of the other recommendations here.

I have one Heistercamp that I like a lot, several Copperpeace that I adore (though they’re not super-long), and a nice Souldier that has been on my start for getting on a decade now.

Otherwise I also have a bunch of Levy’s that are great - one fat soft leather one I intended to replace with the Heistercamp but actually is still great so never switched, and several of their plain black cotton straps which are my default for any new guitar until I find a specific strap that matches said guitar’s personality.

I have a couple of Air Straps and a Mother Mary strap which are all great but I have just got a Heistercamp and it’s on another level.

I'd go for a Heistercamp Catalyst too and a piece of sandpaper and a tin of Neatsfoot compound (it's used on tack). The straps out of the box can be a bit dry. Before you put any Neatsfoot near the strap, sand the edges smooth (just enough to take the sharpness off them) and then apply the Neatsfoot compound. You'll be amazed how much will soak in. The strap still won't be super supple but it'll be 10x more comfortable. You don't need strap locks with these straps and I like the cable tidy feature on them. I've got a couple of them.
