Personally, I’m now 55 years old and I realise that I’m past the halfway point in life. At some point all of us are going to kick the bucket and our partners will be left with a collection of equipment the value of which they have no idea about.
I was wondering if here on the Fretboard we could be afforded the option of preparing a list of all the gear we have with the value of each item, so that if and when we kick the bucket, we have a gentleman‘s agreement here that members here will organise the sale of the remaining equipment with 5% or 10% going to the forum and the remaining amount going to our partners...?

Speak for yourself. I'm 57 and, to paraphrase Woody Allen, my life is almost a third over
Many guitars have a re-sale value. Some you'll never want to sell.

I like the idea, not sure how we'd do it in a way that it doesn't form a risk of getting burgled...
Was it a grim chat? A bit. But we all felt better about what would happen to our collective gear should the Grim Reaper appear out of the blue.
I’d definitely recommend it if your circumstances allow.
Also, the chance of being murdered to death when the total cost of your gear is revealed is approximately zero. Seeing as being dead is a pre requisite of the arrangement anyway!

If H7's whole collection came onto the market at once, supply would massively outstrip demand, and prices would plummet.
