Sorted - Fender Custom Shop Cunetto Strat

I know this is a long shot, but give me a shout if you have one you're planning on selling.

Happy with guitars with changes, but the price needs to honestly reflect this. There's one in Sweden sold which I may just buy, but if I could get one closer to home, especially from a forumite, that would be awesome.

I don't mind if it's a 50's or 60's reissue, Sunburst or Blonde, I love them all.

Thanks, seen that, but it looks like it's been further relic'd by a previous owner...badly. And it's not priced accordingly.

That is hilarious. Someone is really struggling to get that guitar cable into the jack socket. Did it go in? no, just impacted on the surface. I'll ramm it in even harder next time, from full arms length away, that ought to do it.

So what is the current value of an unmolested Cunetto? Only asking, as my brother in law, has a Mary Kay one? Which to my knowledge spends most of its life in its case, under the bed! Think he bought it as an investment thing more than a player. I could ask him if he was interested in relinquishing it? Or even better tell my sister in law how much it’s worth!

I see the small exbedroom dealers have cottened on to the cunetto strats and have doubled the prices recently.

This is now £6500.

It's was on gumtree around a year ago for £1,800.

Then went through at least four different people, all adding a bit.

The price then went through the roof!

surely no one would be willing to pay that, for what’s basically a re issue guitar?

I think my bro/ in law paid around the £2+ k mark for his, three? maybe four years ago, and that was importing from the States as well.

Again, that £6500 maybe started life as a Cunetto Relic, but has been horrifically relic'd by someone else. £1800 would be a push. It's essentially no longer a Cunetto relic. It's only a Cunetto now through date stamps and stamped/embossed CS emblem, but I'd need photos of inside first. I'd pay no more than £1800 for that and send it away and get it refinished. Just the usual 'chancer' seller.

shit a brick at the price of that one.

I had the first cunetto in the UK - I sold it about 10 years ago for what I paid for it £2100. Wish I'd kept it if they can fetch that!

Stunning guitars though.

It’s not even that good a reissue as the headstock is not quite the right shape!
