Furch Blue series.

So all solid woods, 2A tops and satin open pore finish, is that where the savings are and are they just as well put together as the more expensive models?

Eastman E1/2 are around £550 (sapele), I've heard it said the Furch Blue are more akin to the E6/8 (which look very nice indeed!)

Anyone have experience of them, maybe tried them next to Eastman and any reason I shouldn't get one... in Zebrawood? "Try as many as you can" isn't really feasable!

I've blue and yellow Furchs. The build quality is the same (that is, flawless) on both.

I don't know I'd say one sounds better than the other, just different, and that's probably down to different woods and shapes as much as the finish.

On the topic of finish, I really like the 'bare wood' look and feel of the blue, possibly more than the shiny yellow.

When I bought the yellow I wanted a hard case, and when I added the cost of the case to the blue the cost difference between blue and yellow wasn't great. Something to consider.

Have not tried the zebrawood.
