apart from "tough cheese"  - what's the SP if you don't use any of the "hosting" sites listed in  Classifieds Rule #3  ?

    @digitalscream is about to implement an ads-funded hosting facility directly on this site.

    Imgur is still free though, and is probably the easiest of the main hosting sites to use for linking photos here.
    Having trouble posting images here?  This might help.

    Upload it to Facebook and link it from there. You can still keep it private on Facebook if you don’t want people to see it on there.

    As a viewer on Android, Imgur is bloody annoying. You just end up with a bunch of individual links that you have to click through, and when you get to one image, there seems to be no way to scroll directly through the album. So, you have to back out and click the next link etc etc.

    It may be easier for the poster, but as a buyer/viewer, at least on Chrome/Android it's a major pain in the arse.

    You can just use the URL of an image elsewhere to put up a pic here - click the attachement icon, paste the URL where you it looks like you'd upload a file from your hard disc.

    Imagine something sharp and witty here ......

    If Imgur images are inserted here *correctly*, then they show correctly on any device, Android/Chrome included (I just checked).

    Well, I guess there must be a very high number that aren't interested correctly, because I come across lots of listings that behave as I described. Obviously for any listings with properly embedded images, I can't tell which service is hosting them, but for those that end up with links, they are nearly always Imgur.
