I think you can start at any time through the season, but obviously you'll want to be in for the first race. Based on last year I think the team selection closes somewhere between FP3 and Q1

Well the reigning champ is throwing his hat back into the ring.

Is it just me or does it seem harder to pick a decent team within the budget this year? Once you've selected a decent constructor and one top notch driver, you're basically left with trying to squeeze in the best of a bad bunch within the price cap!

@Boromedic from the Game Rules page. I guess this means it's locked the moment Q1 starts, but I'd suggest not cutting it too fine just in case!

Lock

At the start of the qualifying session each Raceweek all Teams are locked and no more substitutions can be made for that Raceweek. Once the Lock happens, all Teams for that Raceweek become visible for all users to see in the game leaderboards. The next Raceweek is also opened at the Lock time so you can continue to add and remove drivers and constructors from your Teams and increase your available Budget for the following Raceweek.

I actually found it easier than last year. Not least because I'm going with K-Mag, who in a (hopefully) reinvigorated Haas is super chear (what's the Danish for "billy bargain"?)

Excellent! We have 23 teams at time of writing, so should be a good bit of competition.

I must admit after FP1 I'm feeling slightly less bullish about KMag, but we'll have to wait and see through at least FP2.

FFS, how do you change the team name? Team 1 and Team 2 isn't going to win any prizes for originality.

Click Manage and then the right panel should have the name and an edit "pencil" button next to it

My A Team has both Ferrari drivers (CL as TD), and Ferrari as constructor, plus Mag and Bottas so I'm happy I've maximised my package for this weekend

Sainz - 2nd
Russell - 4th
KMag - 5th (Gunther: "a fucking viking comeback"

)
Bottas - 6th
Ferrari - 1-2

I think I will have done ok on points
