Moodysounds Carlin Compressor (and fuzz) - £55 Posted, PP F&F
Rare and unique compressor & fuzz pedal. As used by Dungen and Kikagaku Moyo. No original box, velcro on the bottom. The handpainted finish is quite uneven but adds to the charm.

From Moodysounds...

"The collaboration with Carlin actually began when a customer contacted us and asked if it was possible to make a clone of the classic, Swedish-built compressor. I contacted Nils Olof Carlin and he was very helpful in answering questions, giving tips and advice on how to build a clone. It also turned out that he had about ten shells and cards for the compressor lying in the attic and a new production was immediately started on a smaller scale (they were sold from this online store in 2013 but they are sold out now). Read more about the reissue of the Carlin pedals and an interview with Nils Olof in fuzz.se. When the newly manufactured pedals ran out, a new board was drawn and the original circuit was cloned. We made some layout changes (see below) but the audio part itself is identical.

The special detail of the Carlin Compressor is that you can mix overdrive into the sound. Namely, the pedal has, in addition to the Sustain and Volume knobs, a knob for Dist. If Dist is turned down to zero, you have a clean tone with fairly mild compression, which blends in nicely without sounding artificial or "too much" at all. If Dist is turned up a little, you will find sounds that are absolutely perfect for solo playing and that give just the right hang on the note.

For those who want to tinker technically with the sound, without going all the way and building a kit, we mention the trim pot that is on the card. In short, it can be said that it sets the range in which Dist and Sustain operate. When it is built here, it is set to our liking. You can try adjusting to give the pedal more or less Dist and Sustain in the sweep."

Nordland Electronics Compact Overdrive ODR CC+ - £180 Posted, PP F&F
Boxed as new, apart from velcro on the bottom.

Catalinbread CSIDMAN - £120 posted, PP F&F
Killer glitch pedal in excellent condition. No original box but will be carefully packed. I've tried most of the random/glitch pedals currently available and this one is right up there with the best. It has sounds that can't be achieved on some of the others. Highly recommended.

Milkman Pop Top Boost - £145 Posted, PP F&F
The cleanest clean boost I have ever tried! Headroom for days. Boxed as new, apart from velcro. More pics here.
"The new Pop Top Boost from Milkman Sound takes its inspiration from the classic American recording consoles of the 1970s. We designed a discrete Op Amp which fits the standard 2520 footprint and put it into a modern pedal enclosure for use with guitar or any other instrument that uses 1/4” phone connectors.

The Pop Top takes power from a common 9V center negative pedal power supply and converts it to 36V of internal headroom (that’s more than a tube has!). This unusually large amount of headroom has many practical uses ranging from a 30dB clean signal boost, a unity gain buffer with midrange focusing detail, or a line driver.

We designed the Pop Top to run at “unity gain” with the control set at zero. At unity you can hear the discrete op amp color and find a sweet spot without dropping any signal. There is enough headroom inside to use the Pop Top at the very end of a pedal chain even in tandem with other gain and boost pedals.

As a preamp, the Pop Top can enhance the subtle details of the source in the same way that a microphone preamp in a classic American recording console would. In the 1970s discrete op amps were designed to be used at the input and output stage to both preserve detail and slam magnetic tape with as much signal as was necessary to capture the sound. The Pop Top is designed to inspire some of that same magic and creativity from the world of classic record production but in a much more guitar friendly package."

100%. This is the second one I've owned and I'm sure it won't be the last.

Sadly not - I'm raising funds for a new amp.
