I had the original rackmount PSA and it was great for its time.
I doubt it would hold up to modern modelling tech though.
The plugin version is great for making drums and bass crunchy though.

I'm pretty happy with my FlyRig 5 v2, too. I've never had to use it in a failure scenario, but I've taken it to songwriting and practice sessions when I couldn't be bothered with an amp and full pedalboard. I think he likes it enough to be happy with the sound, but doesn't need the effects and would like presets, so is hoping the PSA 2.0 would do the job.
I've had a Simplifier Mk ii myself and only took it off the board because I liked the Carl Martin Ampster more for live use. I have an RDC on my board right now, for an overdriven Marshall sound. - but then into the Ampster.
