Anyone had experience with swapping out a truss rod on an old FG-180 ?
I'm curious to know if there's a less invasive way than taking the whole fingerboard off (partly to save the customer money, partly to make it easier for me
)
This is a picture of a similar Yamaha acoustic with the board off, any idea if the 180 is the same?
If it is it might be possible to cut back a bit of wood at the nut end to expose some thread, or remove some of the body end fingerboard to get the rod out.
Any information gratefully received.

If there's not enough thread left, Stew-Mac sell a re-threading tool, but it's expensive.

It's not mine - as I said, it's a customer's
I've even used it on a Les Paul Custom!
