With cars such as the Beetle, Mini, Fiat 500 etc having an iconic status, new versions have been revived, some get the vibe like the Fiat 500, but some miss the plot entirely like the Mini, which is not ‘mini’. Recently Vauxhall have revived the name Viva, which is just using the name rather than a new uptake on the car.
A couple of questions?
what car revived hit the mark?
And what car would you bring back for an update?
My take is, the Fiat500 has the charm and vibe of the original but updated. The Mini apart from basic shape missed everything important about the original concept.
And I would like a new version of the Volvo P1800.

...and then ruined the name a couple of decades later by reusing it for yet another SUV/crossover thing.
Just like MG with the ZS.
OK, so they're not vintage classics, but the original ZS and Puma are 20-25 years old now.
I'd like to see properly-updated versions of the original ideas behind the Puma and ZS, but without the shitty styling and SUV-ification that goes into designing modern identikit cars.

This is the ORA Punk Cat, shame its Electric.. and made in China.. still, looks more like a Beetle than the New Beetle did.
There were Sierra Cosworth's with their whaletail's and RS2000's.
P1800 is a great shout.
I reckon Citroen are missing a trick by not doing an updated version of the 2cv like this concept. I think it looks great.
It also comes in a 4WD version which does 0-60 in something mad like 5 seconds...
