If frets were based on visits to the site I would have 2937.

As I read a lot of the threads and only comment sensibly on things i know about I have a shit fret score.

Tis not fair.

Give me frets each time i turn up.

Indeed they should not. Nor should they reflect the amount of comments one makes. They are rightly governed by what 'we' give each other. They also do away with covert trollism, which facepalms encouraged/made too easy.
