So I had a body and neck lying around just waiting for a crazy bank holiday project.
I love single malt Scotch, and I love guitars - so here's the combination of the two. I've tried to style it so it looks something like an old whisky barrel - charred and weathered. I've also tried to spray an old scratchplate so it looks rusty, think I've got somewhere close. I used a little single malt when charring it - so the guitar even smells like whisky ... not sure how long that will last, but it's cool for now!
It looks even better in the flesh, I love the fact that it's tactile - you can feel the wood grain under your hands. Plays lovely too, simple twin p90 is always a good combo, and the Wilkinsons are great value for money.
Still deciding whether a black bridge and machine heads would look better. Also may change the knobs to black. What's on there is just what I happened to have in my parts box.
