This is in addition to all the cool things she has done in the past. For my 40th she gave me £2,000 out of her savings to buy a guitar. Another time we were watching a DVD and the guitarist was playing a White Falcon and she told me I should get one - who am I to argue?
I've got 15 guitars plus a bass and I don't have pressure to sell any of them.
I do have to decorate the lounge in the next few weeks though!
She's just read this thread by the way.
My wife has also given me the all clear to buy my dream guitar but I can't bring myself to do it.
Mnay happy returns man!
And congratulations on your excellent wife. Mine bought me my Ibanez Jem for my 30th, which was immense. She's going to take me to Japan for my 40th, where I reckon she'll have to buy me another guitar!
Good wives who understand your passion are the business. I'm sure if mine hadn't just recently given up her job to pursue her own dreams, then she would have no issues with me splurging on a Strymon Big Sky, and one of the new Minifooger Drives.
Can't complain though, it's not like I'm hurting for gear
Once again, many happy returns
