Dual Tremolo?

What's Hot

Hi guys,

Looking to see what my options are here - I really need two different settings (speed only) for my current song list.

I see that JHS make a pedal that does exactly this, or there's also one from Rockett pedals that has two completely separate tremolo's, however for the same/less money I could get a used Flint and have a favourite switch. I'll then also have the benefit of the awesome reverb and trem/verb combination of this pedal, even though I'm already sorted for reverb

I think I would struggle with the Black Cat and Supa Trem as the speeds I need to use are not exactly half/double speed :(

I'm all about trying to avoid twiddling during a set, because I always forget to do it

I think the Tremotron and Gravitas offer far too much options for the very little I use the effect, although would love to have a Gravitas at some point

There are a few tremolos with tap ( like the T Rex)and some with external tap ( like the Source Audio) if it's only the speed that's the issue.

On the zoom you could set two presets up easily and toggle between  them. Cheap as well.

The Empress Tremolo has a "two speed" setting actually (or at least V1 of the pedal does---don't know about V2). You can then switch between the two with a single button press.

The Twin Stags by Dwarfcraft is good fun but it has a CV input and no tap which is a shame.

The josh smith one from jrad is two independent tremolo. So the fun is in chaining them together, not in having 2 presets.

I have one of these - Rockett Josh Smith Dual Trem

    https://reverb.com/uk/p/j-rockett-josh-smith-dual-tremolo

They're great. You can have one side with a really slight trem and the other deeper. Plus there's a lovely controllable boost on it which is really useable. Got it as a clearance one from Guitar Guitar. Wasn't a crazy price.

Thanks guys, but not really sure how this thread has been revived/bumped to the top from last May.

I ended up going with the Flint :)

I assume it's because I also started a thread on Dual Tremolos and someone got confused!
