Not sure where a post like this should sit in the forum but at the end of the day it's about guitars so here goes...
OK a little disclaimer first -this is my first attempt at recording on my laptop, and I'm a little disappointed with my playing it's a bit sterile and sloppy in places. Still I've never claimed to be the world's best player and see myself as equal parts player & collector/enthusiast!
What I've done is recorded the same passage thrice (a speeded up/murdered Need Your Love So Badish intro) using three different guitars.
The guitars are:
'79 SG Standard - SD 59's
Gibson Les Paul Classic - stock pickups
Epiphone Les Paul 60's Tribute - stock pickups
Your challenge is to spot the guitar! If we call the above guitars 1,2 & 3 just guess the order they are played in.
I know this type of thing has been done before but why not have another go? Amp sim settings all the same through a Yammy TRH10 and all guitars on neck pickup.
Cheers

i'd love to hear some chords and less echo.

I'm not one to gloat but
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
AHAH you're not a shit player at all..The only difference a cap makes is its tolerance.. it doesnt effect tone unless of course the tolerance is different and with cheaper caps they can vary all over the place.. same with pots.
Goes to show tho' as with every guitar even same brand/model can also have different voices. I recognised the epi because for me with stock wiring has more mids.
BOO YAA!
