Big flashing knobs ( it’s an OD question BTW)

watching bands last weekend there was some obvious foot stomping going on for solos . I have tended to eschew the overdrive pedal but I’m now thinking it would just make things a little easier. However, in the doom and gloom of a pub I’d like something hard to miss - an easy to spot and stomp footswitch ( preferably huge and glowing) and a pedal that lights up like a Christmas tree when it’s on. Boost/ low gain kind of area.
It’s the hard to miss aspect that’s the important bit. Although probably not just a massive box, still has to go on a Pedaltrain Jr along with my assorted random other crap.

Anything out there that fits the bill? Ta.

I am picking up some new glasses from them next weekend as it happens.

Very dissapointed by Big Knob Pedals brand that seem to have quite normal sized knobs.

    Keeley Mod Boss SD-1.

Known as the seeing eye mod apparently!

I'll watch some YouTube although my expectation of the DS1 is that it's a bit more high gain than I'd be looking for ( but it's has knobs).

    SD-1, not DS-1... :)

He does both, the SD-1 is more what you're looking for I think - basically a Tube Screamer-family overdrive/boost.

Get yourself a light plate for the bottom of the pedal.

The issue with really bright leds is that in a dark venue, if the peda is on and the led is shining it’s really hard to see past the blinding light to change any settings!... not just on the pedal that’s on either!...

i have a delay on my board that ive taped over the led because it is so bright when it’s on!....

MXR Micro Amp. Big and white and 1 knob so you can't really get it wrong. It sounds good and you can adjust it with your foot if you need.

I'm not actually sure why I don't have one atm

Ha! I blame Google. I used to have an SD1, not really sure why I sold it.

That’s excellent but ‘handy with a soldering iron’ is not a description usually applied to me :anguished:

If you’re in a band that’s playing in pubs and you can’t see a pedal you really should be looking at improving your lighting setup rather than worrying about a boost for solos!
    How very rock and roll
