@Garthy just saw your comment, you're looking at it wrong mate. I agree, it's a lovely guitar, but the fact that people dislike it isn't surprising, you only have to look at some of the beauties in that thread which have been downvoted. It's not down to spite, it's down to taste and we're all really different.

Surprised my SG has had more wows than lols! Didn't think there'd be much love for a pretty standard looking cherry SG (though the colour isn't really cherry in daylight!).

Exactly. I thought I'd have pretty much the opposite reaction from the forum norm, but it's just not that simple. There was even a brownish one with gold hardware that I liked.

I’ve simply voted on whether I like the look of the guitar or not, nothing more than that. I don’t have any opinion on whether they’re good guitars - most are, clearly, or people here wouldn’t own them. No logic to it - I dislike some that you’d probably think I would like, and like some you’d probably expect me to hate. I’ve even surprised myself with a few, but I’ve voted honestly on all of them.

Reading the OP's original post in the 'Rate my Guitar' thread, can I just say that I'm delighted to have inspired such a great fret-feeding frenzy with my negative description of PRS. Even if my opinion was, as I was informed, wrong.

@FatPete - what are those? The space-age Swinger ones are very cool although not for me, but the red thinline Tele thing is amazing.

I Googled ‘Scimitar guitar’ but nothing relevant came up...

They're fantastic.  I love your pickup choices (although I've no idea what they are, apart from the Lace) and the scratchplates are amazing, how did you make those?
