New Band Coming Along

First clip I can share from the new band. 

All totally live in the rehearsal room. 

Guitar is DGT -> MXR Badass OD -> H&K Puretone -> Redbox to desk

CAE wah with gain boost for the solos.

I think we're getting there.

Thanks chaps. 

I was quite happy with that solo. My previous band had brass and keys so I'd have maybe 2-3 solos a gig tops. With this one just being guitar bass and drums I'm playing an awful lot of solos and it's not really my comfort zone so I've had to up my game a bit. 

We've had about 4 rehearsals as a full band and we're all having loads of fun. It's great as it's one of the only bands I've been in where everyone comes back after the previous week having actually learnt stuff and reply to emails etc.

Nice work I like the guitar tone a lot - crunchy. I also like the use of the sharp 9 chord in the chorus bit 'by the dozen etc'.

I really love the Badass OD. I've had a lot of really expensive boutique drives and that one just seems really special.

A lot of our other tracks are more funk and soul oriented so there are quite a few 9s and sharp 9s floating about

Go with pentatonic. You can't go wrong....
