Yep, although my amp tech and I were laughing about this the other day as he was showing me another famous pedal that had been covered in goop and he looked at the circuit and said that he guessed the resistor he was looking at was 100 (k I think, don't know much about measurements). 

His way of checking? Just stick his volt meter on it and he was right. If anyone wants to see the value of a resistor, they don't even need to pick off all the goop, just enough to make a connection and that's it so gooping really is a waste of time although I can understand why some guys would do it. 

Anyway, the money they're going for, that's a nice Crimbo bonus for the seller although having heard the back to backs, if I was in the market I'd just buy an Archer pedal as you really can't tell any difference apart from not taking up as much real estate on your pedal board
