I think they should have left the toggle switch below, on the Jazzmaster.

I agree on the Jazzmaster switch.

Although I have to say, I like the idea of the rest of it, though - I can't tell from the pic but I do hope they've finally moved the truss rod adjustment on the Jag & Jazzmaster onto the headstock end.

These are $1499 in the US.... I bet they are more over here.

I bet most of them that end up in the UK will be shitburst.

  • Almost fender, almost
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

Would have liked perhaps lake placid blue and/or Burgundy mist.

So the "pro" versions have fewer controls than the Stds, Mustang bridges and at least one has had the bottom E ping out of the saddle, despite the claim that the new saddles "keep the strings where they belong, even when the bridge is pummeled"

    I'd prefer a Standard, personally.

Looks like all models tele/strat/jag/jazzmaster/precision/jazz will have "narrow tall" frets. Basically, jumbos or some variant.

  • I'm with @meltedbuzzbox. They're good but not quite there for me.

At least there's a credible "modern" JM and Jag option now.

Thiugh they really should try a run in Inca Silver :D

Sonic grey reminds me of 60s daphne blue, that has faded/discoloured over time. I'd need to see it in person though.

  • I'll happily stick with my Roadworn '60s JM. I bet it sounds as good if not better and for (by the looks of it) around £500 less than these ones.

  • Liking the sound of those specs, one of those RW Mystic Seafoam JM's could be on my radar now...

  • Mystic seafoam is a nice colour. Maple board though? Looks weeeeird.

  • Maple board on Jazzmaster is wrong!

  • I quite like the Jags old usual quirky switches/knobs setup, part of what makes it a totally unique guitar.

Not sure what to make of these here modern new-fangled planks!

Just read the blurb, seems fender are reacting to musicmans new cutlass as the specs seem spookily close I bet the price will be too

Be interesting to try the 'Deep C' neck, but I'd never find the pickup switch on a Jazzmaster up there - sheesh
