Purchasing my Jazzmaster at the turn of the year led to me neglecting my beloved a little of late, but seeing the NGD from @lasermonkey had me reaching for my desert island guitar once again. I know there are a gazillion Jazzmaster players on here with some very fine examples, but let's see your Jaguars. Fenders finest offering for me.

I'll kick this one off, obviously. The guitar I wanted since I wanted guitars:

(65 AVRI in Sonic Blue. Got it from Peach for a superb price last year which many here will remember.) Ordering some Mojos for it imminently, also have a staytrem bridge to install. Only thing I wish was different would be to have a matching painted headstock, but for what I paid I have no serious complaint).

This is my 1964 Jaguar. I have added a Staytrem Bridge & Trem Arm / collett. Strung with 11' flatwounds.

Sure I've seen this one on OSG? Really individual tort - almost solid in colour. Love the wear.

Hopefully, in the not too distant future, I'll be able to post some pics of a mate's '63 Jag. It had been modified when he was given it, painted a rather nasty dark blue, with humbuckers and various other switching mods. He discovered the original cover underneath, which is a gloriously aged Lake Placid Blue.

Once I had shown him a few pics of other examples, he had it in bits and is now taking the nasty blue off, slowly but surely. He's going for some Spitfire tort too.

He still has the original pickups too.

That's right, I bought it off Fenderguy last year. Been posting on Offset and Shortscale for about 10 years, since they started. I bought my Mustang on Offset to, from Pat.

Question: If I wanted a jag/jazzmaster, but I wanted a hardtail, what the hell would I be wanting to buy?

A normal one, just take the arm out of the vibrato unit

My current two: Black one is my mate Barry Tone. Blue one has a staytrem, lollars etc.

generally not keen on red guitars, with the exception of jags - they look great.
