Hi,

I have been learning the Intro Solo to Ohio by ear and thought I had perfected it but a Friend of mine has laid a seed of doubt.

I play the start of it like this:
d|---------------------------|
B|------------------5h6-6s8--|
G|--------------5h7----------|
D|---------5h7---------------|
A|-3h5-5h7-------------------|
D|---------------------------|
But he plays it like this:
d|---------------------------|
B|------------------5h6-6s8--|
G|--------------5h7----------|
D|-----3h5-5h7---------------|
A|-3h5-----------------------|
D|---------------------------|
I'm not sure which is right, and they both sound very similar, I have included the track below:

I think you mate's is the closer of the two but it doesn't need the 3-5 hammer on on the A string. I think the run starts on the d string. I'd probably slide the 5-7 rather rather than hammer on as well.

It's all a variation on the same theme though so will sound ok whatever you play.

Thanks,  I have been playing around with it a bit and I think you are right. I'm not sure what you mean by it starting on the D string though.
