It's one of
@GSPBasses "B" stock items ... (though, I'd say it's more like "AA-" stock!). 1pce Mahog body, 3pce neck and a rather tasty looking Rosewood (IIRC) board. Nice.
It'll be a while before I have the time to do a proper job on finishing it, which gives me time to think about how I want to do it.
Most likely is a Wudtone finish from
@andypwudtone - but I'm undecided on colour, and a couple of Oil City's finest from
@theGuitarWeasel. It'll obviously need a scratchplate of some sort, but that will be smaller rather than larger.
I may actually make up a couple of identically sized plates, with some "easyfit" connectors for the wiring, so that I can have it as either a 1 p'up or 2 p'up guitar without too much aggro.

I'm leaning more towards the traditional P90s. Hot, screamy, raw, take-paint-off P90s.
being the traditionalist, I was going to go for a light nitro cherry finish - before you beat me to it :-)

Ask Andy, he'll let you know what mahogany works with and what it doesn't. I think it's fine with nearly all of the translucent finishes, though they'll obviously mix with the original colour, so golden rod would probably make for an orangey guitar.
We need a finishing/build thread for this bad boy!
