Not spotted that one, will investigate. Thanks.
Doesn't have to be Fender but that's about the only current option if I was fixed on it being Fender. Wonder how easily it'd be moded to blackface specs?
I find it surprising that there aren't more Fender voiced heads.
MJW do the Electra Twang which I think is a Fendery voiced head (though they aren't available new at the moment).
Despite being an EL34 based amp the H&K Puretone is very Fendery and is something close to the perfect pedal platform in my eyes.
The 22 I had, had too many design flaws to whole heartedly recommend it.
The puretone is not made anymore, but they are beans secondhand. They are bloody loud though so you might want an attenuator.
Can't see it on there website but I'm not in a position to buy just yet though. Thanks for the heads up anyway.
If I bought a Fender head I'd probably live with it for a while before thinking about moding it anyway.
It was mainly Twin and Pro that changed so much and maybe the Super, but I've had both SF and BF models of most of Fender stuff, and not a huge difference up until 76 that I could hear.
The Supersonic is a nice amp but I've heard much about reliability issues.
Mesa Boogie Mark V:25 fat channel sounds pretty Fender to my ears.
